Gut Reaction Redux: A brilliant movie with some unfortunate moments.
Not much time to post, but the short of it is, Mrs. WTJ and I went to see you know what a second time--a calmer day, a nearer seat, a more agreeable mood. And I got it. The jarring moments--dopey plot connections and dialogue--seemed eminently forgivable this time around, like General de Gaulle's name on the letters of transit in "Casablanca."
Meanwhile, Christmas. We spent it with my sister. One of the calmest and most agreeable ones I've ever had. It snowed for two minutes, just enough for my nieces to notice. Somebody was watching. As ever.
