"They should have told me ahead of time they did not want me to lie or make up facts."
It's weird being on the other end of the microscope, especially seeing where your priorities lie. Everybody's speculating about the potential takeover of the WSJ: Is it good for Dow Jones, is it good for journalism, what will the stockholders do, all that stuff. Lost in all the coverage are the really big questions. What happens to yours truly and everyone he works with? Is this going to screw up their lives? It's a greedy way to look at the situation, I know--where's my institutional pride? Don't I care about the potential good that all those Aussie bucks could do for the company? Yes, I do, but it's amazing what having a lot on the line--a Wrong Turn Family, stately Wrong Turn Manor--will do for your perspective.
